This morning we got up to go to the Leonard Nimoy panel. We waited in line for about two hours, but it was worth it. As we sat there listening Nemoy, we got a surprise appearance of William Shatner!
After that panel was over, we booked it over to hop in line for the Stargate panel. Sheppard, Tela, Carson, Vala, Mitchal, and Ronan were all there. It wasn't as good as previous years, but it was still awesome to see all of them.
When we were done at the Stargate panel, we went over to the Steampunk costuming panel. That was a lot of fun, and learned a lot about Steampunk.
Then we went to have lunch and wander the vender halls. Once the halls closed down, we went to Marriott and people watch. This is some of what we saw:

Dragon*Con - Day Three
Today was a lot of fun. The first thing of the day today was the parade. Hundreds, if not a thousand, people were dressed up all their finery, representing their favorite shows, movies, games, and just about anything else! We had ranks of Storm Troopers and fleets of Pirates. Groups of Klingon's to the Periodic Table.

(Pictures coming soon)
Once the parade was over, we booked it over to see the TAPS panel with Jason, Grant, Steve, Tango, Joe Chin, and Dustin. Those guys are awesome.
(Pictures coming soon)
After that panel was over, we went into the lobby of the Marriott to meet up with Victor's dad who stayed in the hotel room for the morning because he wasn't feeling good. :( While waiting, Victor thought that there was something special about see Gandalf looking out over the people of Dragon*Con.
(Picture coming soon)
But, once he felt like going out, he met up with Victor and her mom to go to the vendor hall to look at merchandise. After looking through one room of booths, Victor came across this one booth that really captured her attention. It was a booth of swords and other weaponry. It wasn't long until she was walking away, fifty buck poorer, with two amazing daggers sporting in her belt.
(Picture coming soon)
After Victor's new find, we headed off to Hard Rock Cafe for lunch.
(Picture coming soon)
After lunch, we went to go to see an Adam Savage panel. That was amazing! He is such a great fun loving guy. It was awesome to see him in person. Unfortunately, we were ALL the way in the back and couldn't get a good picture of him. This was the best we could do, a picture of the screen.
(Picture coming soon)
After that panel, Victor hooked up with her friends and wandered about for a little while until they had to go to a concert and Victor went in search of parents and food. Once she was fed, she went back to the hotel room to relax and get some sleep. (HA!)
Well, on that note of sleep, I will get some sleep!

Dragon*Con - Day Two
Today was interesting... All the costumes came out today. (Yes, Victor dressed up as a pirate.)

We saw everything from well done period style dresses, to weird, funcky, out-there steampunk cotsumes, to...well, let's just say, the "not so good" costumes. Word of advice, Just Say NO to Spandex!! O_o
Here are some of the awesome costumes we saw:

Spartans

The Sliver Surfer

Dread Pirate Roberts

Elvis Darth Vader
Then there were TONS of Steampunk costumes. Here are a few:

All that aside, we had a lot of fun. First thing this morning we went to a Leonard/Nimoy panel (That is to say, the original Captain Kirk and Spock!) which was absolutely hilarious!
After that was over, we went over to another panel about thrift store costuming. We learned a lot in there, not to go in and see what things are but rather what they can become. Once all that was said and done, we went to go visit our friend Mummy Fairy in the Con Suit where she was working. (Got free food in the process!)
At the end of the day, we went to watch a costume contest. The costumes were, incredible! My favorite by far was the steampunk X-Men.

Well, it is late, and I am tired. I need my beauty sleep you know! So, I shall write again tomorrow night with more information about all the madness happening here at Dragon*Con.

Dragon*Con - Day One
Well today was...eventful... First, Victor and her mom were busy packing their bags and getting everything ready for the trip to Down Town for Dragon*Con. After they were mostly packed, they had to take the dog over to "camp Nana's" for the weekend. (aka grandma is watching the dog this weekend) Once they were back home, done packing, and Victor's dad came home, they loaded up the car and drove down to the the Hilton.

The rooms were quite nice!

Victor unpacked all her costumes.

And all her makeup and accessories.
Wait... Is that Jack?!?
After checking in and unpacking their bags, they headed over to the Sheraton for registration. Little did they know they had to stand in a line that wrapped 3/4 of a city block! After standing in line for two (or more) hours, they finally got their passes.

Dragon*Con
Well Victor is really excited, she and her parents are going to Dragon*Con tomorrow. Dragon*Con is a huge convention in Down Town Atlanta that is spread out over Labor Day weekend (Thursday-Monday). This convention takes over four of the the largest hotels Down Town. I can sum up this event in four words: Gathering of the Geeks! There are all sorts of tracks (Groups) on everything from anime, to robots, from LotR (Lord of the Rings) to Spiderman climbing the walls of the Hilton.
What Victor and her parents are most excited about however are the stars. Celebrities from all sorts of Sci-Fi shows and movies will be there, and they are looking forward to meeting them. Though to be honest, I don't see why they are so excited, I mean, I am a celebrity myself! *tosses fur*
Anyway, they will be taking me with them, and I shall keep all of you up to date on what is going on. Until then, goodnight, and I shall see (well not really) you tomorrow.

Keys to the Kingdom
So the girls got another surprise last night. Victor and her parents went over to Rouge's house for dinner and to discuss the trip. After dinner was over and every one had their dessert, the parents called the girls into the living room.
"So, what is it that most sixteen year old kids want?" Rouge's mom asked.
"Um, cars?" The girls replied.
"Yeah," Rouge's mom held out a set of tiny keys, "And cars usually need keys."
The girls looked at each other confused. "Um, yeah?"
"Well, there is a box on the coffee table," Rouge's mom continued, "You think maybe those keys might work?"
The girls looked at each other but went over to the box. Rouge unlocked and opened it. Inside were two black paper keys with mickey heads at the top and 'KINGDOM' written down the handle. The came the unavoidable squeal! (Dog from miles around came running) "WE'RE GOING ON THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM TOUR!!!"

After many more squeals and thank you's, the girls settled down and planned out there day at Magic Kingdom. When the tour started and ended, when they were going to change into costumes, when they were going to meet up with the rest of the group.
Now in case you have no idea what the Keys to the Kingdom tour is, it is a behind the seance tour of Disney. You get to learn all about how the magic of Disney works and happens. The only catch is, you have to be sixteen to go. Victor has been looking forward to her sixteenth birthday for years, just so she could go on this tour. If you are a Disney freak by an stretch of the imagination, then this is a tour worth going on.

Sunday Lunch
The girls (Victor and Rogue) went to lunch at Panda Express yesterday after church. (with out me I must add)

(What they had)

(Rogue eating)

(Victor eating)
When they got back home, through fits of laughter they finally told me something quite funny and amusing. In Rogue's fortune cookie she found this:

If you can't read that, it says "A resort ares will be part of your next holiday plans." How ironic is that??
P.S.-
Oh, and on a completely different note, the girls also had fun at youth group that night too:

They drew chibis of Wade Wilson (the one hanging upside down) and Victor Creed (the one in the corner pointing and laughing.) The writing says "Oops..? Starring Wade Wilson and Victor Creed by Rogue Lucy Kirk (with minor help from Victor Lovett Creed)

Sleep Over
Rogue and Victor (aka the girls) decided to have a sleep over Friday-Saturday. This is nothing out of the ordianary, but they did something different this time though. They played dress up! Now I know you are thinking, Wait those girls were playing dress up?!?! But this wasn't your average dress up with pink, feathers, and glitter. No. No, this dress up included, black, power tools, and claws.

Apparently the claws were hard to eat in..!

While all this was going on, Rogue decided to put the hat on the cat.

After playing "dress up", watching Knowing and Push, playing on the computer, and just having fun and hanging out, the girls finally slowed down and went to sleep.

The girls had fun and are plotting their next play date.

Adventures at the Mart
Tuesday and Wednesday I was at the Mart along with the girls, working for more money for Disney! OK, it was not that exciting...all we did is sit there, give out catalogues, and watch movies.

((The movies are the only fun part))

We also had time to go shopping! =D We found Rogues gloves and Gambits hat.

We are all getting very excited about the trip. We now have nearly all the costumes and now just have to wait.
*sigh* I hate waiting... =/

Yesterday's adventures
Well, the girls, Piglet, Jack and I went shopping for costumes. Our first stop was at Value Village, a thrift store...a dirty, thrift store. *shudder*

Anywho, we were fairly successful. We found Victor's coat, and boots; Rogue's belt; and nothing for poor Scott.
While we were there, I took some time to get even more revenge on Jack for making me do the dishes and get my paws dirty last year. Here's what happened....
We found this Pirates of the Caribbean lunch box. And I won't say how but Jack somehow managed to "jump" inside...
And then, somehow the lid happened to shut...
*innocent look*
Then, we went across the street to Goodwill, found Victor's jeans, and then we went to Ross, where we found Rogue's shirt and scarf. Next, we went down the sidewalk to Sally's Beauty Supply to get Victor's nails and Rogue's hair color.
Overall, it was a successful day.

I'm back!
Well after a long and unexplained absence, I have returned for yet another wonderful trip to Disney with the girls and my friends, Jack and Piglet. But this trip we have some new friends, the girls brother and Tigger. We found out about this trip at lunch on Father's Day. The siblings were extremely excited. As were we all! We are leaving October 2nd, and are coming back October 8th. We will also be partaking in Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.
The siblings have been trying to figure out what they are going to be for Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party. They finally settled on going as X-Men. They are going as Cyclops, Rouge, and Victor. They have pulled together a shopping list and will be spending the next month or two looking and shopping for all the costume parts. The girls have been using their costumes as excuses for "research" and watch the X-Men movies. (twist their arms!)
Well it is getting late, and I need my beauty sleep! So good night, and I shall keep you posted on this new adventure.
